What isErectile Dysfunction?
If you have difficulties achieving and maintaining an erection hard enough for sexual intercourse – you may be suffering from a medical condition called ‘Erectile Dysfunction’ (ED).
ED happens when not enough blood flows into the penis, so that you cannot achieve or maintain an erection when you are sexually excited.
Men of all ages, shapes and sizes can suffer from this condition - so don’t worry you aren’t on your own.
For some men, it can happen every time they have sex, and for others, the symptoms only happen once in a while. But, however often you suffer, it can be frustrating, embarrassing and can affect your relationships and general health.

Physical Issues
ED is mainly due to physical issues which cause reduced blood flow to the penis. If you suffer from hypertension, diabetes or heart disease these could be contributing factors
Pyschological Issues
There is also a perception that a main cause of ED is psychological issues, including performance anxiety, lack of arousal, low self-esteem and the stresses of daily life. However in reality, it is thought that psychological causes only account for 1 in 10 cases
Medications
Certain medications can lead to erection problems - speak to your doctor who will be able to advise if you are taking medication which can exacerbate the condition
